Sometimes I attempt to write things that are really just better expressed without words in a song. Finding the perfect string of notes to convey the depth of what you feel is really difficult--I know because I've tried it before.
My hat goes off to this woman. I'm blown away over and over again how Sara Beth Bareilles is able to embody a feeling in a simple melody. It really is a gift, and my goodness--she's got it. This song is so much more than the words she says, both for me as the listener and undoubtedly for her as the composer. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
